There are some questions that I get asked often, so I thought about doing a FAQ if that would be helpful. As always, feel free to ask anything but if you have general questions like “where do you get this and that”, please check this first :)
☆ How do you make gifs?
My way might sound a bit complicated but for me it’s the best. First, I cut the clip I want with Digital Media Converter and convert it to .mov. Then I open the video with Adobe ImageReady, select the range and Limit to Every 2nd or 3rd frame. Then I crop and resize it, add delay to 0.1 or 0.2 seconds and edit/color it in Photoshop.
☆ How do you make your edits?
I use Paint Shop Pro 8 for general image handling and Adobe Photoshop CS for coloring. I color every image individually. My general routine is to first use Brightness/Contrast, then Selective Color and Levels. Sometimes I also use Hue/Saturation, Color Balance and Levels. I’m too lazy to check tutorials so I just basically play around with the settings until I’m satisfied. I have years and years of photoshop experience though so if I see an effect I want in my own graphics I usually have some kind of idea how I could do something similar myself and then I just try different things. Experimenting is recommended!
☆ Can you follow me back?
I don’t do follow-backs, sorry. I actually don’t follow that many blogs at the moment, although I’m glad if I find a good one to follow. I like to follow blogs that are relevant to my interests and don’t post too much about stuff I don’t care about, AND I like it if they have something own as well like edits or gifs. I do usually check my new followers’ blogs though, and you can give me your link if you want and I’ll check your blog out.
☆ Where do you get our videos/images?
Mostly from Simile Clubbox (most videos), Hey Say @ LJ, Baidu and several Weibo accounts.
☆ Where can I watch a video of this or that gif/image?
If you want links, please don’t ask these questions as anonymous. I don’t really feel comfortable sharing video/download links in a public blog, especially if they are someone else’s links. I’ll answer privately. I don’t want to be rude, but if you ask as anon I may not answer, sorry. :/
☆ Are the captions of this or that gif/image from a subbed video? Where did you find it?

No. I always make captions for images myself (with a few expections in some of my really old posts). I basically know enough Japanese to watch without subs so I only rarely DL subbed videos. So I can’t help finding them, sorry. :(
☆ Can I add you on Twitter/Livejournal/Last.fm/etc?
Sure! Just send me a message somewhere to tell me you’ve added me so that I know who you are. :) Otherwise I may think you’re just some random person and I don’t like doing random adds anywhere.
